How to convert HEIC photos to JPG
iPhones save photos as HEIC by default. Many websites, forms and older devices do not accept HEIC, so the photo needs to become a JPG. Use the HEIC to JPG tool — conversion happens in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.
Steps
- Choose the HEIC photo from your iPhone.
- Convert it in your browser.
- Download the JPG and open it to confirm it looks right.
- Upload the JPG where the HEIC was rejected.
What you lose
A JPG is a standard, widely supported image, but it does not carry HEIC-specific features such as live-photo motion. If you need the live photo itself, keep the original HEIC file as well — conversion is one-way in practice, and the JPG will not turn back into a live photo.
Limits
Conversion changes the container and encoding, not the picture: a blurry HEIC becomes an equally blurry JPG. Very large photos may take a moment, because everything runs in your browser.
