Tools99 is a collection of free tools covering PDFs, images, video and audio, documents and text, developer tasks, and everyday utilities. There is no sign-up, and most tools run entirely in your browser — your files and text are processed on your device and are not uploaded to a server. Two exceptions are named on their own pages: the currency converter calls a free public exchange-rate API, and the link shortener calls a free public shortener API.

  • JSON formatter/validator — Format, validate and minify JSON, with clear error messages when the JSON is invalid. Runs entirely in your browser.
  • Base64 encode/decode — Encode text to Base64 and decode Base64 back to text. Note: Base64 is encoding, not encryption.
  • Regex tester — Test a regular expression live against your text, with matches highlighted and groups shown.
  • JWT decoder — Decode a JSON Web Token and show its header and payload. Tokens are decoded on your device only.
  • SQL formatter — Format SQL into readable, indented code with keywords in capitals, and download the formatted query as a .sql file.

  • Video compressor — Compress a video to a smaller size in your browser. The video engine produces an MP4 where it loads; if it cannot load, the tool re-records the video in your browser’s supported recording format instead.
  • MP3 to WAV converter — Convert an MP3, OGG or M4A audio file into an uncompressed WAV file you can edit anywhere, decoded in your browser.
  • Password generator — Generate strong, random passwords with the length and character sets you choose. Generated on your device — nothing is sent anywhere.
