GIF to MP4

Convert an animated GIF into a video in your browser. The video engine produces an MP4 where it loads; if it cannot load, the tool re-records it in your browser's supported recording format instead.

Converted in your browser with ffmpeg: the GIF's frames become a real MP4 (one playthrough). Nothing is uploaded. If the engine cannot load, the page falls back to a browser re-recording and says so plainly.

How to use GIF to MP4

  1. Choose an animated GIF.
  2. Convert it in your browser.
  3. Download the video and play it to confirm it moves.

A good use for this

Turning a GIF into a video file for platforms and editors that prefer video over GIF.

Limits

The video engine produces an MP4 where it loads; if it cannot load, the tool re-records in your browser's supported recording format instead, and says so plainly. Sound is not added — a GIF has no audio track.
