A browser alone cannot host redirects, so this tool calls a free public shortener API and shows the real link it returns — if the API is unreachable, it says so and never invents a fake short link.

How to use Link Shortener

  1. Paste the long link you want to shorten.
  2. Create the short link through is.gd.
  3. Copy the short link and test it opens the right page before sharing it.

A good use for this

Making a long link short enough for a message, post, or printed page where space is tight.

Limits

The short link is created by is.gd, not by Tools99, so it depends on is.gd staying available. If is.gd is unreachable, no short link is invented — the tool says so plainly.
