Document and text tools

Text diff / compare

Compare two texts side by side and highlight the lines that were added, removed or changed.

How to use Text diff / compare

  1. Paste the two texts to compare.
  2. Read the highlighted lines that were added, removed or changed.
  3. Use the comparison to spot what actually changed between versions.

A good use for this

Seeing exactly what changed between two drafts of a document, a policy, or a piece of text.

Limits

Comparison is line by line — a reworded paragraph shows as removed plus added lines, not as a single edit, and the tool does not judge whether a change is an improvement.
